Four Horses is our first short film. The story was created by Joshua Kutach, Craig Mooneyham, and Jason Ramirez and was cowritten by Craig and Jason, who also co-direct the film. The film was being produced by Lunar Pig Productions in association with Ramirena Creek Productions. The film is now complete and has been, and will continue to be solicited to applicable film festivals.Synopsis:Damien, a weathered, veteran Texas Ranger, is hired by a band of renegade Apaches to kill a "white holy man" for crimes against them, including the rape of one of their young women. The Texas Ranger reluctantly agrees, but whenever he rides into town to fulfill his obligation, he finds two "white holy men" - a preacher and a priest. The Ranger must make a decision if he is to render justice and reap his reward. Will he be able to make that choice, or will divine justice step in to guide him?Four Horses deals with the theme of divine judgment, i.e. karma, fate, reaping and sowing. Justice is blind to one's station in life, one's position, title, or career. Four Horses is not the classic Hollywood style Western; it is better described as Film Noir meets Western. Four Horses is the precursor of a script by Jason Ramirez titled, Cruzado.
